Dear Capital High School football families,

We are pleased to announce that Capital High School physical education teacher Terry Rose has been selected as our school’s new head football coach, pending school board approval on January 22, 2018.

Rose joined our Capital High teaching team last fall, and he has already had a positive impact with students and staff.

He comes to the head football coach position with high recommendations. He was an assistant football coach and offensive coordinator for six years at a Utah high school with a strong reputation and program.

Rose also comes to us with experience as a collegiate football player. He played four years of D1 football at Southern Utah University. Additionally, he has extensive experience related to athletic conditioning.

Our Athletic Director Steve Taylor, said, “I am excited to have Terry join our staff of outstanding coaches here at CHS. I know he is ready for this opportunity to lead our football program, and he will hit the ground running.”

Rose was selected for the head coach position following an interview process by a selection team that included representation by Capital High School staff and the parent community. Rose is scheduled to officially begin his new head football coaching role on August 22, 2018.

We look forward to the 2018 football season.

Go Cougs!

Sincerely,

Principal Curtis Cleveringa
